About the role

The code that you write is clear, maintainable and will scale across several projects and distributed development teams.

You will be helping turn our new Distributed Social Networking Protocol (DSNP) as described in the whitepaper http://projectliberty.io/whitepaper into a concrete specification and help build out the DSNP ecosystem around it. While our offices are currently closed due to the pandemic, this role will ultimately be based in New York City or Los Angeles.

We are in need of a DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for our production cloud environment and the management of our Ops team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with engineering to architect, build, and monitor highly available, performant systems.

  • Ownership over the monitoring and alerting infrastructure.

  • Ensuring the production environment and all user data are kept secure using best practices, tools, and patching strategies

  • Management of data replication, backup, restore, scaling, and redundancy.

Unfinished is unlike others: Our creative work is deeply integrated with a Labs team building new social media products, a Network team uniting social impact leaders from a variety of backgrounds, and an Institute creating research and relationships at the heart of academia and policy-making.
